About the role
The School Psychologist plays a critical role in supporting student well-being, academic success, and behavioral health through assessments, counseling, consultation, and intervention planning. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting diverse learners and committed to collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans
- Provide direct and indirect services to students, including counseling and behavioral interventions
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents on academic and behavioral concerns
- Support the district’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) models
- Participate in crisis response, threat assessment, and mental health support initiatives
- Promote social-emotional learning, equity, and inclusion in school settings
Requirements
- Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved program
- Valid Arizona Department of Education (ADE) School Psychologist Certificate (or eligible by hire date)
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Arizona special education regulations
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological assessments
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
