About the role
Providing one-on-one Speech and Language services for a homebound K-12 student, this per diem position offers an opportunity to support unique learning needs within a school environment. The role involves delivering direct therapy sessions and consultative support tailored to the student’s educational setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Speech and Language therapy to a homebound student, providing 3 sessions per week averaging 30 minutes each.
- Provide approximately 20 minutes per week of consultation services to support the student's broader educational team.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
- Collaborate with educators, family members, and other support staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Adapt therapy methods to meet the individualized needs of the student.
Requirements
- Valid certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience providing individual Speech and Language therapy in educational settings.
- Ability to work effectively with homebound students.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to accommodate per diem scheduling.
