Executive Underwriter, Excess Energy

As a Senior Underwriter, you will contribute to the achievement of the Chubb Energy Excess Casualty Division objectives, including, but not limited to profitable growth. Located in Houston, TX this position is responsible for a large book of business in the Southwest region and building/maintaining relationships with relevant trading partners.

• Assist in developing sales and cross marketing strategies
• Implement underwriting objectives
• Maintain service standards
• Provide statistical analysis
• Provide mentorship to junior underwriters

• In-depth knowledge of underwriting products and concepts
• Demonstrated knowledge of casualty product lines
• Excess Casualty and Energy risk underwriting experience preferred
• Knowledge of the local insurance environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
