Engineering Manager, Sawmill Logs

Like Google's own ambitions, the work of a Software Engineer goes beyond just Search. Software Engineering Managers have not only the technical expertise to take on and provide technical leadership to major projects, but also manage a team of Engineers. You not only optimize your own code but make sure Engineers are able to optimize theirs.

• Build core logs data processing infrastructure used by all of Google
• Work closely with others on Sawmill team and other infrastructure and customer teams on a variety of projects
• Optimize our existing solutions
• Build integrations with other systems and frameworks for logging at Google scale
• Rework how we are deployed to improve our service’s stability

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience with C++, large-scale distributed systems, technical infrastructure
