Responsibilities
- Develop and execute weekly promotion and trading plans at category and product levels to increase revenue and margin.
- Monitor, analyse, and challenge trading performance.
- Identify patterns in customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities, working with the Digital Marketing team and external agencies to develop new journeys and capabilities.
- Identify and monitor competitor activities and make recommendations to improve our proposition.
- Maintain active product listings in partnership with marketing & e-business teams, enriching and enhancing data where possible to support consumer decision making.
- Chair ecommerce trading meetings and provide regular updates to key stakeholders regarding business performance and direction.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to increase rate of sale, collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure availability to support activation.
- Partner with peers across marketing functions to develop digital category plans, supporting sales growth across the business.
- Support colleagues with the adoption of customer data and a data-supported decision-making process.
- Develop forecasting techniques and establish processes for sales targets across all channels.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations to align on commercial goals for websites and marketplaces.
- Develop A/B testing methodologies and establish a regular cadence of tests, experiments, and personalisation to support Conversion Rate Optimisation
- Support the Head of E-Commerce in strategic planning and business case development for growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in ecommerce trading or commercial roles
- Experience managing ecommerce businesses with >£5m annual turnover.
- Proficient with digital analytics tools such as GA4, Content Square and similar
- Experience using marketplace management tools such as Linnworks, Rithum, Base or Seller Cloud
- Working knowledge of key e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, AEM or SFCC
- Experience conducting A/B Tests and a core understanding of statistical analysis in CRO.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills; proficiency in Excel
- Commercial acumen and a data-driven mindset
- Demonstrable understanding of ecommerce merchandising and digital marketing
- Awareness of best practices for selling on marketplaces (e.g. Amazon/eBay/DIY.com)
- Passion for working in Ecommerce demonstrated by strong awareness of market trends.
- Qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. Marketing, Business)
- Familiarity with pricing tools and promotional planning systems
- Experience launching new D2C propositions for enterprise businesses
- DIY / Decorating industry experience and awareness.
