Responsibilities
- Primary fiscal support for South Puget Sound Fire Program for Payroll, Benefits, Reimbursements, Travel & Credit Cards.
- Provide Fire Finance Training to seasonal and permanent staff, fire service cooperators and casual hires.
- Responsible for maintaining records for large fires within South Puget Sound Region according to State and Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assist Region Fire Cost Analyst in preparing monthly fire suppression reporting of actual & estimated costs to be included in the Agency’s Fire Cost Reporting requirements for the State Legislature.
- Provide support to our cooperative partners at the region, state & federal levels according to Interagency Agreement, Local Operating Plan, Master Agreement, Wage & Equipment Rates and OFM Travel rules & regulations.
Requirements
- One year of fiscal technical experience.
- Experience in setting priorities to meet work deadlines and produce results.
- Experience with Payroll and Accounts Payable.
- Experience using Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel in a professional setting.
- Experience using software such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
- Experience extracting/generating reports from multiple financial reporting systems in multiple formats (Excel, CSV, PDF), preparing financial reports & statements.
- Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies, laws, and practices – GAAP.
- Ability to make decisions within delegated authority.
