Software Engineer, TypeScript and JavaScript

In this role, you will be responsible for the TypeScript and JavaScript languages, libraries, and toolings in google3, from the smallest web apps up through the Search, Gmail and YouTube. WYou will support the latest in JavaScript standards, TypeScript features, and world-class TS/JS optimizations that are safe, fast, and easy at every scale.

• Help evolve the google3 javascript and typescript ecosystem.
• Implement compiler (Typescript and Javascript) improvements and features.
• Write design documents, author and review CLs.
• Contribute to shared team responsibilities.
• Help Google web developers build products using our tooling.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with software development in programming language TypeScript.
• 2 years of experience building developer tools.
• Knowledge in JavaScript advanced features; familiar with browsers' compatibility.
