About the role

The Comprehensive School Counseling Program Supervisor will advance OSPI's priorities and strategic goals by supporting districts to plan, develop, and implement a K–12 comprehensive school counseling program (CSCP) based on the ASCA national model

Responsibilities

  • Support districts to implement K-12 Comprehensive School Counseling Programs
  • Develop and deliver professional training on CSCP/HSBP best practices and policy updates
  • Facilitate the development and delivery of K–12 vertically aligned resources
  • Provide relevant, timely, and responsive resource development and technical assistance
  • Analyze proposed policy changes and provide feedback to agency’s Government Relations team
  • Engage in meaningful data analysis via SchooLinks, OSPI Report Card and surveys
  • Facilitate regular updates to relevant OSPI webpages and via the CSCP listserv
  • Support the design and implementation of tools and surveys for stakeholder feedback and evaluation
  • Project planning and management for major bodies of work
  • Program Leadership and Collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education with school counseling certification
  • A minimum of three years of experience working in K–8 school counseling
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation of a Comprehensive School Counseling Program (CSCP) or demonstrated understanding of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model for School Counseling
