Risk Management, Internal Controls, and Privacy, Management Analyst4 (MA4)
Responsibilities
- Assists Risk, Internal Controls and Privacy Manager with building a risk management framework, registry and dashboard, risk assessments of agency programs, operations, and activities to identify exposures that may cause losses, and to determine if current loss control methods are adequate.
- Works with Risk, Internal Controls and Privacy Manager to develop metrics, measures and tracking mechanisms for monitoring agency risks and incidents.
- Analyzes reported agency vehicle related and other incidents for trends and patterns, including identification of repeated incidents for individuals, regions/divisions, programs, etc.
- Researches, analyzes and identifies operational deficiencies and inefficiencies including comparing incident trends and patterns with agency training available and required.
- Researches and makes recommendations to OLABP management for changes or additions to agency trainings available and required to reduce incident frequency and severity.
- Develops reports and recommendations for business process improvement, mitigation of agency risks, loss control methods and improving internal controls.
- Development of educational materials and training for agency staff in the areas of risk management, internal controls and other identified areas.
- Development of new policies, and revisions to existing policies in Risk Management, Privacy and other areas as needed.
- Manage Agency Notary Program, Data Share Agreement Library, and Lost, Stolen or Damaged Equipment reporting in collaboration with the DNR Safety Program.
- Works with Programs and Regional Staff to correct Audit Findings through improved Internal Controls, Policy and Procedure updates.
- Using a continuous improvement model, simplifies and streamlines processes, resources and communications wherever possible.
- Maintain effective internal and external relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Business Administration or other related field;
- Two or more years of experience with data and trend analysis, including synthesizing data and developing reports;
- One or more years of experience in developing and training and resource materials;
- Commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice practices;
- Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and public records retention and requests are followed.
